Sometimes telling the same story the same way over and over again makes us numb and it becomes ineffective. This one doesn't and I thought that the approach of contrasting the life of the comfortable and the desperate reminded me that there are still serious issues in our neighbouring countries that we have inadvertently become too accumstomed to to do anything about.

I came across this story via Wiggle, an online bicycle store (a pretty well stocked one too). It's a great example of how we can channel resources from the sport we love into something that will make a difference in local communities that need them.
